MAC users create a monochrome .tif, HP-GL/2 .plt file or .PDF
Most MAC users should create a .PDF file which is most universal for plotting.

Publishing Tools Installation:

  1. Close all applications.
  2. Download the following programs and install in the order of download:
    gs814w32.exe (Ghostscript)
    http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/ghostscript/gs814w32.exe
  3. Install the Ghostscript program by double clicking on the gs814w32.exe file.

    * accept the default locations, if your drive is full you can
    change the path where the program will be installed.
  4. Go to http://www.oceplancenter.com/download.asp
  5. Unzip the PubTools1_6.zip file to a temporary directory. Once unzipped you will want to run the setup program.

    Note: The publishing tools will look for AutoCAD and install a publishing utility and will show up as a new button within the toolbar at the top within the AutoCAD program. ** If you have multiple versions of AutoCAD please select the latest build … i.e. if you have 2002 and 2005 select 2005 only.

  6. Go to the start, programs, Océ Client Tools, Océ Publisher and open the application. Select Tools and then Options. Under File Processing and PostScript/PDF look to make sure that Ghost Script is selected and that the path is correct for the program. (see screen shot below.)

  7. Click OK to close the configuration window. (The program is now ready for operation.)


How to install and configure the Océ Client Tools to plot to file by default:

  1. Download the client tools from http://www.oceplancenter.com/download.asp
  2. Save the application to your desktop or other location that you can find.
  3. Double click on the application and select the install option.
  4. Select the desired options. *Note if there are two versions of AutoCAD installed on the system only select the latest version to
    install the AutoCAD tool.
  5. This will install the Publishing application and a LDF Windows driver at a minimum. If the AutoCAD integration was selected it will add a Publish button to the AutoCAD toolbar and LDF CTB and STB drivers.
  6. After install you will need to reboot the system to register the application.
  7. After reboot, go to start, programs, and Océ Client Tools and Printer Controller application. (See graphic below)

    Look to make sure that the Océ LDF driver is listed as an installed driver as above. If not select the install button to manually
    install the printer. You can direct the print file to any Windows folder by clicking on the printers folder button. This will open a
    Windows explorer window where you can browse to where you want the files to be placed. Once the printer driver shows as above click OK to close the application.

  8. Go to start, settings and printers to open the printer’s folder.

  9. Right click on the new LDF printer icon and go to printing preferences.

  10. Click on the advanced button.

  11. Change the output bin to show a print queue directory. (See graphic below)
